KARACHI – Consul General of Switzerland Emil Wyss on Wednesday underlined the need for due projection of Pakistan's positive image in the world, especially in Europe, in order to take full benefits of the generalised scheme of preferences (GSP) plus facility given by European Union.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of GSP-plus desk set up at the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) here, the Swiss diplomat said GSP-plus facility would prove to be a great opportunity for Pakistan to increase trade. He said Pakistani businessmen would be welcomed in the big market of Switzerland, which is located in the heart of Europe.

He also informed that talks were going on between his country and Pakistan to sign the Free Trade Agreement (FTA). Commenting on the economic potential of Pakistan, the Swiss counsel general said, “Pakistan is the world's secret treasure.

Wyss said the government and the private sector should increase interaction with the world to highlight Pakistan's economic potential and positive indicators for trade and investment here. He said that the Pakistan-Switzerland Friendship Exhibition – which was held at the Karachi International Airport - was a positive initiative and would contribute in strengthening the relationship between the two countries.

India ke saath tho Pakistan ne FTA nahin sign kiya because of the fear that their industries would go kaput with superior Indian items flooding the market, lekin Swiss se FTA sign karna thik hai? Yeh kya logic hai bhai?

Achha hai! Swiss ghadi pehno, Swiss cheese khao aur prabhu ka gunn gao! :cheesy:

To understand behind the context, “Pakistan is the world's secret treasure". Follow the color-bold to understand and read between the lines. ;)

India kab serious ha aisa agreements kerna per, India ko to sirf aik he cheez nazar atti ha kisi bachara ko pakro, Pakistani label kero phir dandoora petna shuro ker do kah koi to suna ga loll.

The world has moved on and no one really cares about Indian sponsored dramas. If you are serious, show your willingness before complaining humera saath FTA kyn nahi hua.

This indeed is a good thing. But the problem with the trasures are that they are always robbed and taken by the pirates...
Stay alert, my precious for any pirates...
