It clearly say that the money went to fight the Soviets. There is no rational Pakistani who would think that is corruption or misuse of funds.

If he did skim some off the top into his sons accounts, then the military will not let him go. It does not seem like a lot though, and often military Generals are from wealthy families and earn a lot of money as civillian managers after retirement
