Swedish newspapers reprint Mohammed cartoon

i don't understand why are they reprinting again n again? what are they trying to show with that?

That they won't cave in to the pressure of violence.
Given several hundred European newspapers and a lot of time since original publication, they actually have been reprinted very very rarely in very few newspapers.

The violent outbursts, the pressuring backed by threats of violence against anything Muslims dislike is why the cartoons were created in the first place. Islam is not entitled to any more respect than any other ideology.
If you disagree maybe you should stop reading European newspapers or not live in Europe (if you do).
Furthermore have you even seen the cartoons? Probably not.. You are being exploited and used by the extremists you so often claim to despise for their ends, Sharia law everywhere.

Well Europe will not be pushed into dhimmitude by violence. So grow up and out of this attitude that you can kill anyone who "hurts your feelings".

I find the cartoons despicable, utterly disgraceful to modern society and a symbol of underlying European segregation and emotional abuse towards Muslims. Such an intolerant society towards Muslims for no reason.Colonized our brothers and sisters for centuries and now trying to colonize their minds.

We are just supposed to "deal with it" ? Buddy when our Islamic forces are rolling through that historical cess pit and bastion of disease and ignorance in the note too distant future once again, we'll see what will happen. Secondly, the picture is designed to be offensive.

Third, the picture is designed to attack millions of followers.

I am just wondering here. I highly doubt these people are practicing their 'freedom of speech'. More likely, they are just trying to create controversy, gain attention, insult other people, and trying to show "what can you do about it" attitude. You don't just keep reprinting offensive things against one particular group for praciticing freedom of speech.

I think the best thing to do is to ignore these newspapers. Some muslims are childish in that they give attention to these stories - which is exactly what these newspapers want. Just ignore them.

Also as far as freedom of speech is concerned, it's really not an absolute thing. For instance, I cannot call someone racial slurs or general deregotary slurs and expect to be sitting on my chair all fine and dandy the next minute. There's limits - if you intentionally try to offend someone just for the hell of it, it ends there. This is how I have seen it here in Canada - police gets involved if you keep calling someone such and such to offend them. Verbal harassement of women (or men) would be legal if there was no limit on freedom of speech.

Perhaps an anology would be nice here.

Suppose I am walking down the street and I see attractive women. I decide to harass them verbally - calling them whatever I want. What would happen is I would probably get reported to the police. If I am in a car and I shout these things, the number on my number plate would be sent to the police. This is most likely how it is in Europe - or even worse since Europe treats harrasement more seriously (it's a more liberal place).

So if we're to buy the freedom of speech argument being given by these people, by the same logic, I can give the same argument to the police when they catch me, and say that since I have the freedom of speech, they can't do anything about me? If so, and they agree that I have a right to harass the women, then ok, all good. But if not (which is what would in fact happen in reality), then there is a clear double standard, or a clear bias in the definition of freedom of speech.

It's not really freedom of speech, it's who they want to make it legal to insult and whom not.

By printing the cartoon you are asking for the trouble. It is not freedom. You are offending a large group by posting an inaccurate, offensive, wet dream picture.

If someone posted the picture of your female relative naked. Yes, you would go on to harm the news paper and its employees.
