Sustaining Afghan-Pakistan ties

Playing with Iran is like calling for wrath. Even Pakistan understands this. More over the concentration of proxies are basically near the Nuristan region. Not Mazar e Sharif or Herat or Saranjh.

My question was how many attacks does Iran suffer -- Iran's proxy operations are far wider than Pakistan's?

Iran's proxy operation are controlled by the supreme leader. They are not interested in Pakistan as of now except for Balochistan region. That too rarely. Their main attention is Gulf region.

I asked a simple question:

How many attacks does Iran suffer due to it's Proxy operation in the world: Hizbollah, Yemen, Iraq, Syrian?

The same logic applies to Pakistan

. . .
Gravity is gravity, and your point is?

BTW, you're not really Indian are you ;-) ...

Iran knows how to deal. Pakistan is more leaned towards west. Porus borders too much proxies operation, rivalry with India.
hence comparing Iran with Pak is of no good equation.

Ok?

Pakistan is more leaned towards west.

And this is relevant how?

Porus borders too much proxies operation, rivalry with India.
too much proxies operation -- compared to Iran -- are you kidding me?

Yes, we can then go back to the 1980s when Pakistan was in a similar Proxy situation -- the security situation was very acceptable.

If the government continues the expel the Afghan refugees which looks like it is -- It continues to erect the natural barriers -- Pakistan a large country can easily manage the Proxy operation in Afghanistan.

For Afghanistan costs have always been orders of magnitude higher than Pakistan.

Again you're not Indian are you?

@waz, I think we have a false flag here.

I am an Indian.. false flag kya hota hai bey?

I dont understand why are you discussing Iran with me when I am talking about Afg Pak proxy war. Whole paradigm shift is irrelevant in your post.

Refugees are not expelled yet and I doubt they will be expelled even next year.

The reason you are struggling is that you have no argument.

Iran is a much greater user of Proxy forces than Pakistan -- haven't seen any attacks in Iran lately

Gravity is the same for Iran as it is for Pakistan.

And you are a false flag -- look all are welcome here ... no need to hide

Badakhshan officials said on Tuesday that Taliban has seized security forces' equipment and weapons in the province and are now using these against government troops.

Badakhshan provincial governor said that in the past year, the Taliban has managed to seize the equipment, including light and heavy weapons as well as armored vehicles – which has become an increasing problem for security forces.

"In 2015 a number of Afghan forces' armored vehicles were seized by the enemy in Wardoj, Jurm and Yamgan valley and there is no doubt that those vehicles need to be destroyed so that they cannot be used against them (troops)," said Faisal Bigzad, the provincial governor.

Bigzad has urged foreign forces to help them destroy this equipment.

"We have asked the ministry of defense and Resolute Support to destroy these vehicles," Bigzad said.

Meanwhile former Afghan spy chief Rahmatullah Nabi said that just in the past two months more than 200 vehicles belonging to the Afghan security forces have been seized by the Taliban.

"We lost 200 Humvees and Rangers in two or three months as the result of incompetence. Imagine what has happened to the people in those two or three months," said Nabil.

Meanwhile Badakhshan civil society activists welcomed the governor's call for the destruction of equipment.

"When government takes a resolute decision and especially when NATO gets involved, I am sure the strongholds that the Taliban has built will not be strong enough to destroy," said Shir Ali Qasimi, a civil society activist.

Currently, the Taliban controls much of Wardoj and Yamgan districts and are widely active in eleven other districts in the province.

Iran is supported by russia , are you supported by MSS or KGB?

Ties can be sustained when there's no foreign forces on Afghan soil

Seriously this is an argument?

Look it is better you go to the thread on Mig-11s or Mig-56s or F-99s and play there.

This forum is not suitable for you

That's 'cause they keep their proxies at an arms length just like the Saudis do. Pakistan, on the other hand, let them operate from their territory and provided them space in their society. That's why Pakistan has taken a beating over the last decade while the other states involved in this mess have been able to escape relatively unscathed. The idea of a proxy war is to get someone else to do the fighting for you while you watch from the sidelines. Once they are in your country and part of your society, it's no longer a proxy war. At that point, you've stepped into it and it's pretty hard to get away clean
