What's new

SUST students are making UAV (Drone) for armed forces

It's an academic project. Academia is where it's utility ends, I guess.

then why the title is "
SUST students are making UAV (Drone) for armed forces " ???

Loki has to look and give us understanding on that.

Also, bdnews24 is a know Shabagi/india leaning "news" site. Zafar Iqbal who is overseeing the assembly project is a renown Shabagi. Read the news they are inspired to prevent rail derailment because of ongoing political protest (among other things).

If it's true then good. Bangladeshi students have shown their talent numerous times, but these raw talent has never been transformed into industrial production. Few years back, a group of Bangladeshi students made "Chondrobot" which was awarded as the "Best Asian Robot" in a robotics competition by NASA and was also selected for NASA's lunar expeditions. There have been many other achievements in robotics by Bangladeshi students. But there's still no initiatives taken in establishing a robotics industry in Bangladesh.

It is mainly due to lack of policy.
