For too long, msm have been telling people there is no way but to die if you are sick and poor.

Doctors and big pharma then jump out to explain how is it unaffordable for the states and how expensive health care is.

Then China showed the world how a relatively less well off state can afford to provide good Healthcare to citizens - - affordably.

These are indeed golden words of truth. Big pharma and medical industry in western countries have failed the health system of their respective countries. They indeed are in trouble to explain to their folks about how a supposedly developing country like china provided so quick response to manage the hospitalized patients of covid-19 where as the so-called developed countries are still struggling even after a couple of months to manage the hospitalization of the covide-19 patient in their respective countries.
The capitalist model of converting national health systems into a profit based business with the collaboration of big pharma is the reason behind this disaster. Most hospitals in the western countries are run on strict profit basis so they don't have "extra" capacity to respond to the high number of hospitalizations resulting from a pandemic like covid-19 in a timely manner. That is what happens when the only thought in the minds of the management of the hospitals is to reduce the resources in order to save the costs for the functioning of their hospitals in a profitable manner. This pandemic has proven that the national health systems and their management must not be given in the hands of capitalist banksters, the national health system must always be treated like an essential responsibility of the state just like the military defence of the country.
