Yes thats point...why only protest against Hindi imposition ,they should protest against English imposition too.All the Indian languages including Urdu are brought from Sanskrit language..except Tamil n English.Even prayers in every temple of India is in Sanskrit.So the binding part of India is Sanskrit and Hinduism.

English is a international language, almost 90 % of countries in the world use it as a link language. Muslims use Arabic (do learn it ) but that does not mean non Arabic Muslim countries e.g Pakistan, BD, Indonesia etc should use Arabic to bond. Its Muslim brotherhood that bonds not the language.

Sanskrit is monopolised by the brahmans to control non Brahman Hindus/temple rituals/religion/. So it serves no purpose other than for liturgy, control for power. Plus, unlike Islam , Hinduism is not a homogeneous religion

Tamil was used in all temple prior to the arrival of brahmins (likely 9th AD) , Tamil priest were brahmanised (papannars), Tamil religious text destroyed, some survived to be revived in the 10th AD, hence Tamil religion is independent of Sanskrit.

I believe 7-8% of Pakistan's people spoke Urdu at that time (when Jinnah made the proclamation in Dhaka in 1952). I could be wrong though....
