TJ wasn't particularly rich by the standards of the Virginian plantation class. He was, however, very knowledgeable and inventive. It must have been very difficult to be in his company as he had mastered every subject of likely discussion far more thoroughly than 99% of his guests.

What a waste.

Firstly, it is his personal fortune of hard work, he did'nt got this in AID from some country!
(We Indians don't have any problem with this then why the people from land of pure?)

Secondly, even if he burn his entire $43 billion dollar with kerosene on road or waste it on building 100's of more buildings like this its his personal wealth, A pakistani should care about his own mess then giving unnecessary advice's which are more needed towards his own country then us.

He could've helped millions of his poor indian people in india with that kind of money.

Spare this advice for mister 10% who even enjoy the money got in AID for flood victims! eh!

Our Gov. is doing its bit for poor people!

Please care about millions of poor's of your own land of pure!

When his net worth is more than twice the total reserves of Pakistan, and his company's annual revenue is more than what whole of Pakistan makes in a quarter, he can pretty much live where ever he wants, in whichever kind of house he wants to live in..

don't know why some people are bringing poor into the equation. this is an individual who through his skills and hard work (debatable) is the owner of India s largest private industrial group. the fourth richest man in the world.. why should any one care how he spends his money?

Yes. It's depressing to see rich people waste their money on bad architecture.

Whatever ill one speaks of the French kings Louis XIV and XV, even after the monarchy was gone the French people respected its architectural and horticultural achievements. It's tough to imagine future generations wanting to preserve this monstrosity or keeping an ounce of respect for the people who caused it to be built.

If this doesn't scream nouveau riche, I don't know what does.

Just goes to show that money can't buy class or taste.

In any case, it's his money and he can decide how to spend it. I read that it is the most expensive private residence in the world.
