The \'one to ten thingy\' was never \'SOP\' in the PA. Rhetoric to pep up the soldiers for battle should not be confused with \'SOP\', which is what the Indian commentators generally do.

The fact that Indian commentators are still unable/unwilling to acknowledge that fact is in itself a gross \'underestimation of the enemies capabilities and mindset\', and a \'mocking and undermining of the PA\'.

I think Xeric was quite clear about how the PA approaches the IA with this statement:

Xeric was making a comment based on the information on this thread regarding the pilot errors on the crash.

Even if poor Indian training was an established fact, that does not mean the PA and PAF will not train under the assumption that the IA and IAF will perform at 100% capability.

That is the point you fail to recognize from Xeric's post.

At a 2nd thought,xeric ,i too thought a few days back the ia were out of good weapons......,....but some pictures and videos of hundreds,infact thousands of west bengal police commandos and crpf jawans armed with great weapons(in the recent anti-maoist action) totally changed my view......,...some pics of the cobras also came out,believe me they are beasts,they can live without food for about 20 days,they carry hi-fi weapons,wireless and navigation systems...........they carry chemicals to purify poisoned and infected water(to drink in emergency conditions),they are taught to survive in the jungle for months,their eating habit is awfull(even snakes,a report said)..........in training they are sent alone im jungles to practice and survive in those conditions.....they have out of the world camouflaging capabilities.......they are great,west bengal is raising a cobra camp in kolkata itself

Dude there are only a few chemicals that are practical for the field. They are probably using chlorine/iodine tablets. If they were really hardcore they wouldn't be taking those things, and would be building water filters from things around them.

Totally unacceptable language. Hard to believe it has come from an educated Army Officer. If this kind of a language was used by an Indian, he would have received an infraction if not banned.
