What's new

Sukhoi company's new Okhotnik (Hunter) UCAV ready for test flight

Okhotnik has less radar signature than Su-57. What they can do. Have Okhotnik fly in front of Su-57 by about 50 km. Okhotnik transmit data to Su-57. Su-57 shoot from outside enemy detection range. Batman and Robin.
That is a good possibility..and there are many other possibilities too..

However, I doubt it. This is a subsonic drone. It only keeps up with Su-57 on attack missions. Probably good for bombing Qaeda that's about it.
It has a speed of 1000km/h.. It works in networks with the SU-57 and other drones.. it can accomplish stealthy attack missions in a pack or alone too..

All Russian fanboys can claim whatever they want, but the indisputable fact remains the USA produces the best drones in the world. No other country comes closer when it comes to combat-drones, flight-hours, sophistication, and attack capabilities.

The OP posted an article about the drone and the usual Team USA fanboys including yourself came here to derail the thread and troll how Russia is weak and USA is#1. Neither Russia nor the US divulges much information about drones so it's the USA fanboys talking smack.

What we know is that this drone is much larger then any comparable US drone which means it likely has greater payload and range, it will also have data-link with the SU-57 and most likely have synthetic aperture radar (SAR) due to the apparent nose random.

Doesn't this drone resemble X-47B which made its first maiden flight in 2011 and 8 years later comes up with a similar design? I mean it is apparent who is imitating whom, I do not want to point out about the specs as that is like opening Pandora's box.

All these 'stealth' drones look somewhat similar because it is necessary for RCS reduction. There is only so much you can do with a flying wing design. There is also enough differences in design to know it's no some copy as you suggest.

don't divert from subject and don't bring China here and USA/west designing UAVs from 70s and UCAV from 90s and China is a newbe in this field, and admit it Russia is way behind in UAV/UCAV from west/USA @undertakerwwefan

They are way behind because they didn't need to focus on it.

Given their aeronautical prowess and their capabilities in making powerful surveillance, it is only a matter of time that they get into the game. Russia is right now behind USA and Israel in UAV-based electronic warfare. But not that behind.

It will catch up damn fast.
