PESHAWAR: A suicide attack has been reported at residence of a peace lashkar chief in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa capital, where casualties are feared, DawnNews reported on Thursday night.

Initial TV reports suggest that the attack took place at the residence of Adezai peace lashkar’s chief in Peshawar's Matni neighbourhood. Several people were injured in the attack.

Aman Committee chief Farmanullah confirmed the attack. Injured are being transferred to a local hospital.

PESHAWAR: At least one person was killed and five others were killed in a suicide blast in Adezai area of Matani on late Thursday.
According to details, one person was killed and five others were injured when a suicide bomber manage to entered the house of Adezai Lashkar commander Farman Khan and detonated his suicide vest.

Three nephews of the commander present at that time were among the injured. As a result of the blast, the roof of the room also collapsed.

The injured have been shifted to Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar. The condition of the injured was described to be as critical.

The Adezai Lashkar is a local militia raised to ensure security in the area. It consists of 3,000-4,000 militia and have been a target of the militants for quite some time. It falls within the jurisdiction of Matani police station.
