Huma Akram late wife of Wasim Akram and her family suffered greatly before she was flown out for treatment abroad. the callous attitude of the hospital admn disturbed an already distraught family. "phelay paisay jama karyao", "falani davai khareed kay lao" etc were constant refrains in a case that should have been treated on a emergency footing. in constrast, the treatment received by the late Huma in the indian city of Chennai where the patient was taken to hospital when her plane made a emergency landing, was exemplary. there was no question of jama karaoing any money before the treatment began, in fact, the hospital treated Huma for 3 days without asking for any bills to be paid. and it was only on Wasim Akram's insistance that they reluctanly agreed to settle the bill after Huma had tragically died. also Huma's Chennai doctor insisted that Wasim stay with him and his family. at his home, which Wasim did. THANK GOD FOR THE KINDNESS OF OUR SO-CALLED ENEMIES!

fatman, we all know wasim is respected both side of the border. i am sure many staff members from apollo are fans of wasim or founder of apollo hospitals himself is the fan of him. it quite natural to expect such treatment but if he could have been ordinary man, case might would have been different.

Wasim Akram always had respect from indians cric fans not only for being the bowling genius that he was but also for unbiased truthful analysis of the game.
feel sad for his loss...........
also there are many cases where pakistani patients coming to india for medical treatment because it being goood and less expensive

we need more such stories (and there are many on both sides of the divide) to bring our peoples closer to each other - katra katra darya ban sakta hai.

cheers!

we should report such incidents.

I am sure the exact reverse would have happened in Pk should such a situation have arisen. Human kindness is everywhere, unfortunately we show it more to a guest than among ourselves.

We got more politicians, news hungry and sometimes irresponsible media!!
I envy the Chinese sometimes :hitwall:

I personally believe if politics had not played its games, we wouldn't have had the reasons for so much hatred.
