Hi Shaheen!
This is one of very important moments in the history of India's tactical missile development. Of course, the air launched version will not have any booster. It is going to be India's equivalent of Meteor. However we must not be carried away by just the first trial, this trial was just the validation of both the booster and the ducted ramjet engine. In my opinion, it will take at least 4-5 more years when it can be in a position to be accepted by the user.

PS-Speaking of ducted ramjet, India does have quite a bit of experience with solid ducted ramjet engine in the form of Akash SAM. The Air launched version of SFDR will provide a very long range punch to IAF.

missile is too long

More new tests which are linked to the Space programme. New type of fuel have been researched and produced by the Indian Scientists . Already there are around 9 types of Grade fuels and in each different type of grade , the rocket boosters gives different results.
