KONYA, 8 June 2016: Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Operations) of Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Air Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan attended the Turkish Air Force’s multinational exercise Anatolian Eagle in Konya, Turkey.
Held in Konya, from 26 May to 10 June, hosted by Turkish Air Force while air arms of NATO, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, Italy and the Netherlands are participating in the Anatolian Eagle multinational exercise. A total of 67 aircraft and 1200 personnel from seven countries are participating in the exercise. Pakistan Air Force (PAF) is participating for the 10th time, with 6 F-16 fighter aircraft and 90 personnel including aircrew and technicians.
By flying an F-16 jet himself, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Operations) of PAF Air Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan and Defence Attache of Pakistan in Turkey Air Commodore Abbas Ghumman participated in the Distinguished Visitors Day on 7 June 2016 in Konya.
Turkish Air Force Chief, Royal Saudi Air Chief, senior officials from Azerbaijan, Italy and Netherlands also witnessed the Anatolian Eagle multinational exercise.
Earlier, Ambassador of Pakistan Sohail Mahmood visited the exercise area and met with participating Pakistani military personnel. He also called on the Base Commander of TAF Base Konya.
PAF’s participation in the Anatolian Eagle exercise will further strengthen the existing cooperation between the air forces of Pakistan and Turkey. Held every year in Turkey.
