Any idea what this Day-0lighting technique is...?

As far as I know "Day-lighting of a tunnel" usually means removing the "roof" of the tunnel. But if you read the news it seems like, they are talking about the breakthrough, as in seeing light at the other end of the tunnel.

Civilian +Military. Nothing can trump trains for the large scale surface movement of resources whether its for civilian or military use.

Well the tracks will be used for passenger and freight trains. Will be used by Military too, but not exclusively!

These Locomotives (DMU) can be seen in West Bengal and few other places too. They are new, but the ones in Kashmir have heated carriages and stuff. For obvious reasons.

Yes we can but Katra to Qazigund line will take 6 years complete.

I know that mate and 6 years is a very short period of time.
