Stop Teesta projects: West Bengal

Ugh not this again!

You can not divide the water based on the length of the river, as it doesn't take into account the water from the tributaries. It has to be done based on the command area of the river system.
End of discussion.
You have mixed up the terms "catchment area" and "command area". You can do us all a favour if you look up both the terms.
By the way, you should stop trying to justify this "stealing". You have no right to withdraw teesta waters even though the majority of its catchment area is within India.

In the 1997 UN Convention on River Course, Article 5 (1), it is stated that to build dams/barrages on rivers in upstream areas necessitates permission from downstream countries. No activity is legally allowed in upstream areas that causes harm to the people of downstream areas. No attempts or activities could be done that cause change or destroy climatic conditions, either in the upstream or downstream areas.

"Stop Teesta Projects"?

The best way to do that is to throw her in jail for perjury.
