Here we need to be offensive but we dont have a powerfull PM FM or DM to give statments and setup policy after this 61 people got killd by enemy

We need to increase in strength of security forces with latest weaponery

Seal afghan border and expel all afghan refugees

Stop all trade with afghanistan

Increase security of senstive installations and around soft targets like educational institutions traing centers

Put up a strong foregin policy

Increase patrol in arabean sea seal border with iran n increase secuirty on eastren border

Strike terrorists hide outs in afghanistan with drones or jets or cruise missiles

If cant do any of above then i think we dont deserve to be a soverin nation getting our people die every day what we going to give to our kids in future a state like somalia or libya or a modren state we have to think about it today not after 10 or 15 years

UN still matters. They can hit hard through sanctions. Remember 1998 of Pak?.. And sanction on iran , North korea. It dragged them 10 years behind. But this is reality U.N can't stop U.S.A or superpower to stop war against any country but U.N still matters.

The OP has a serious point. We know that TTP elements are hiding in Afghanistan and getting support over there in kunar and Nuristan. Its time we get tough with them and give them an ultimatum that either they go after them completely or we will. Enough of this sift diplomacy.

Before this our main priorities should be increasing our defensive capabilities against such attacks. Which means that intelligence reports are to be taken very seriously. Raising of a Quick Response Force to tackle terrorist immediately and the Hugh grade protection of institution. On top of it all we must make sure the border of 2210km with Afghanistan is sealed and on top of it all the 1100km border of Baluchistan and Afghanistan is completely secured with every inch looked after even if we need a bunch of posts. If we cannot do this then we will never stop terrorism. Cut them off and then kill those that are here whilst killing those that have bases and operations in Afghanistan.

What Afghanistan and India do should not be a defence bcz they are our enemies. They have always been our enemies.

The first suicide bombing in modern times was in Lebanon in 1983, on a USMC base. Hezbollah pioneered the tactic, and guess who taught that to the LTTE? The Hezbollah, which trained several LTTE fighters long before India did. LTTE wasn't the first to do it, and today Pakistanis are the pioneers in it. (Over 75% of all suicide bombers are from 3 countries - Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan.)
