STELTH GROUND VEHICLES
Ground vehicles utilizing stealth technology have come to fruition at various times in history. The Challenger 2 features a redesigned hull and turret offering lower radar observable over its predecessor. More recently, the joint U.S./British Future Scout Cavalry System concept was experimented with and appeared in prototype form before being canceled. Other vehicles, particularly unmanned ground vehicles, may unintentionally have an undetectably low radar signature due to their small size. Various coatings and radar absorbing layers of material are available for combat vehicles. The Armored Gun System program of the 80's attempted to create a stealth vehicle. One of the competitors, the Stingray light tank later became Thailand's light tank. The M1A2 Abrams was also originally supposed to incorporate stealth. The U.S. Future Combat Systems manned ground vehicles family also incorporated a reduced cross section but was canceled in 2009.
How good is the idea and how good are "stealth ground vehicles" and the types and list beng safe from all sorts of anti-radiation and specific munitions.
I am also posting a pic taken from famous movie "Aliens" I found the design of APC very intriguing and applicable do you people think such vehicles with stealth features could be the future.
@Aeronaut If there are Threads related to stealth vehicles please merge them below as links would be a good place every piece of information is available. If you think Thread is irrelevant than you may delete/remove it. [please fix the Title include "S" in vehicle]
Contribute people but don't post/add silly images only closer to reality and practical and all other information from Global Militaries.
