When Pakistan decides to purchase a 5th-generation multirole Stealth fighter, what should it be? Please vote.

.
i have voted for the Raptor...but who isgoing to pay for it.........worried...

.
Super 10 to me seems to be the realistic choice since we are inclined to buy the J-10.

.
I will go for a modified stealth version of FC-20 Like Super J10 or Jxx

.
Alhtough I have taken part in the poll as well, I believe the over whelming majority would be with JXX, but the big question mark is when and can we???

.
Well, i dont think China will make 3 types of stealth fighters. it is pointless. and besides, i thought Jxx and J-14 were same? i have never even heard of J-13 can anyone clarify on the chinese stealth fighter program please.

China’s two major fighter aircraft manufacturers, Shenyang Aircraft Corporation (SAC) and Chengdu Aircraft Industry Co. (CAC), are both working on advanced 4th-generation fighter designs that could enter the PLAAF service as early as 2015. While Shenyang has been engaged in a brand new F-22-class stealth fighter design known as J-12, Chengdu has been focusing its development effort on an enlarged twin-engine, stealth version of its J-10 fighter possibly designated J-13. Both development projects are believed to have benefited from Russian aviation and weapon technologies.

The Chinese aviation industry began the preliminary research for China’s 4th generation fighter programme in the mid-1990s. In 1998 the U.S. Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) reported that an advanced F-22-class twin-engine stealth fighter known as J-12 was under development at SAC. Later in 2003 an Internet source photo revealed a fighter mockup for wind tunnel test which may be linked to the J-12 project. As more details of the fighter began to emerge, it was understood that the fighter will also be fitted with an internal weapon bay and possibly active phased array radar.

Considering China’s records in combat aircraft development, a project like the J-12 may prove challenging. It will involves technology advancement in a number of fields including materials, high-performance aviation engine, electronics, flight control software, and stealth technologies. A project of this scale will also require huge amount of investment and considerable knowledge of complex project and manufacturing management. While China may be able to benefit from some “off-the-shelf” dual-use technologies available in the commercial market, it will almost definitely seek assistance from its traditional military technology suppliers such as Russia and Israel. However, none of these two countries possess the experience of developing an advance fighter of this class.

Russian Sukhoi Company (JSC), which has developed close ties with Shenyang over the licensed co-production of its Su-27SK fighter as J-11, has been reportedly working with Shenyang in developing the next-generation fighter technology and sub-systems. Although Russia has yet been able to develop an operational stealth fighter, the J-12 project may benefit from its technologies in two particular areas: thrust vectoring engine and stealth design. China may also seek potential partners from Russia, Israel and Europe to co-develop avionics and weapon suites for its 4th-generation fighter aircraft.

and j-14??? :china:

PAF's stealth platform will definitely be a Chinese design with J-XX being the sole candidate. Stealth versions of JF-17 and J-10/FC-20 are out of question, unless China decides to develop a medium technology stealth export design with Pakistan and maybe few other nations as risk sharing partners. :coffee:

like guys j xx is the only option.becuz USA have decided not to sell F 22 to any other country.and if u r thinking about PAKFA.nah then forget it.USA seems more intresting in selling F 35 to india,so that it is out of option..and wat type of japan Aircrafts are..no one knows.so J xx is only an option

.
pakistan should go for F22 as it is operational and in production and the rest of the fighters are underdevelopment phase and not sure of their capabilities

.
5th gen jf-17 thunder makes real sense to me!

.
What about F-22 Block 52+ ?????????????

Agar khayali palao hi pakana hai tau ghee kam kiyo dalain... ;)

.
There isn't really any choice here.

China is the Only one even remotely interested in selling Pakistan a 5th gen jet.

The Americans wont sell the F-22 as it is illegal to do so under US law.
In fact because the US wont give Japan the F-22 they went about developing the ATD-X. Which it will no doubt not sell as well.
The F-35 will be a NATO or US ally staple, meaning giving it to country with so cosy ties to a rival, will just mean loss of tech.

the only Planes that could be sold will be the Chinese or Russian/Indian ones
Since the Latter is out as well, for obvious reasons.

Pakistan has only one source. CHina
You take whatever they offer You.

Super 10 is at best a 4+++ fighter. it is just an upgrade to an existing concept
same goes for the
JX-17 which is not stealth, it as stealth features, no internal weapons bays, nor the ability to super cruise. ( frankly this is the best plane concept for the PAF i have ever heard, you should certainly get it, but it is not 5th gen.)

Since the J-XX project was just a competition between the J-13 and j-14 designs for a stealth fighter. of which the J-14 won.

That leaves you with one choice the J-XX.
Which will no doubt only be given to PAK as an Export version. If the jet is ever offered.

. .
what a fanboy thread..There is only one right now ..about the other nobody know..please include babur as a choice I will vote for it
