State Funeral announced for Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan Sb - Radio Pakistan .

.
Appreciable gesture by the government.

I wonder if Faisal Mosque should have been used for the state burial.

May Allah raise him again among His favourites on the day of judgement.

May Allah give us strength to repay Qadeers Ahsaan on Pakistan.

Amen

ISLAMABAD, Oct 10 (APP): The funeral prayer of Pakistan’s renowned nuclear scientist late Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan was offered here on Sunday at the Faisal Mosque.

Acting President Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani, members of the cabinet, legislators, civil and military authorities and a large number of people attended his Namaz-e-Janaza offered in the open ground under the light drizzle.

His body would be laid to rest in the H-8 graveyard.

It should be it’s our National Mosque, but only if the families of the deceased heros consent to it.

I wouldn't disturb the sleeping buried. Waqf department should really have foresight of such things

Our state funerals are so messy and chaotic, I think it wouldn’t hurt the ISPR to have a tri-service ceremonial squad that can carry out such arrangements at a short notice.

Further, yeah we do lack foresight, Zia’s burial there should have started the Faisal Masjid National Cemetery.

But alas why would we spend time and effort to build a national monument and site of remembrance.

We have all the monuments and respective governance model and infrastructure.

All civilian chapters observe such in their own capacity. Even on individual level the spectacle is there to be witnessed from pulpit to particle.

ISPR is free to join in the sobering festivities. It needs no invitation nor dictation.
