State Duma chief suggests trying US for WWII nuke attacks

. . .
..............
Japanese officials and international rights activists raise the issue of the bombings to this day, noting that the radioactive fallout damaged Hiroshima and Nagasaki’s children, causing various illnesses in some, and costly medical checks and constant fears for the health of the rest.

Good idea, as soon as we can have a trial of Japan that first attacked USA at Pearl Harbor, totally unprovoked. He who lets loose the Dogs of War pays the price.

PS: While we are at it, put Russia in the dock for Eastern Europe and Afghanistan too. :D

That doesn't give you the right to wipe out non-military industrial city with thousands of civilians including women and children. Japan attacked US because of US aggression. You left Japan no choice. You shouldn't have pushed them i the corner. Here is a Japanese explaining it.

Not just that bro. II don't know if he's indeed joking or being serious. Does he even know the amount of crimes Japan committed during world war II? Lol in fact, I didn't want to say this, but he leaves me no choice, Japan was indeed the most brutal power during world war II. They made the Nazis look like saints. Does he even know about unit 731 ? Japan's policy of sexual slavery in China, south Korea and Asia? Bayonnette of babies/civilians/pregnant women? Etc? Was all these also 'rule if wars'?

He should ask Chinese, Koreans, Vietnamese, Filipinos members and other asian countries who suffered under imperial japan occupation on here if Japan was a saint as he tries to paint them. In fact Japan even had it easy, had the U.S notnot used nuclear bomb to end this folly quickly (and mind you its Japan who started the war in Asia with their brutal occupation of Korea and later invasion of coastal China and almost all of Asia) Japan would have suffered even more, and the whole country would have been decimated/destroyed and starved to death by the millions, that's if the U.S had to invade mainland Japan inch by inch. So he should be thankful the atomic bomb put and end to this quickly.

@Nihonjin1051 , please talk some sense to this guy, before he makes us expose all Japans dry laundry about world war II on here.:coffee:
So victims of US foreign policy also have the right to nuke couple of US cities? So if Vietnam, Iraq, and other victims of US foreign policy have the right to nuke couple of industrial non military US cities like Washington, New York, Cali?

.
War is war. Every side has the duty to fight a war with all its might. There is no requirement for proportionality.

It doesn't work like that my friend. In war you have to play by the rules. If you target non-miliary civilian targets. The opposing side will target your civilians too. US should be lucky Japan didn't have nukes for retaliation. Would you have this typical cocky, arrogant attitude when you see couple of US cities turning into radio-active glass?

It works the way exactly as I have described it: War is war. Every side has the duty to fight a war with all its might. There is no requirement for proportionality.

Still going on about this?
In fact looking at the crime imperial Japan commited in Asia and its unprovoked attack against the U.S, it deserved (though I might sound harsh) even more than the two atomic bombs.

Japan killed millions in Asia, carried chemical/biological experiments on civilians, famine in Vietnam which killed hundred of thousands, and raped hundreds of thousands of women (which it still hasn't even sincerely apologised for until today unlike 'evil' Nazi Germany) etc.

I suggest you just close this thread and avoid us from bringing Japans past horrific crimes to the forefront (I myself don't want to do that). The U.S was absolutely right to use the bombs, it avoided more casualty on both sides and helped bring the war to an end quickly than otherwise. Imagine China or Russia had developed this bomb instead of the U.S , I'm sure there will be no Japan today at all. SoSo count yourself lucky since Japan had it easy to be honest, it could have been far worse had Russia or China been the one to invade Japan. :chilli:

I don't think @Nihonjin1051 particularly enjoyed the part of receiving more than 2 A bombs from your comment
