Apparently the Star Wars websites says that its set 30 years after the end of the Return of the Jedi whereas the Dark Empire series where Palpatine came back and Luke turned to the Dark Side was around 10 years After the Battle of Yavin (ABY).

But then again Jacen Solo turning to the darkside as Darth Caedus didn't happen until nearly 40 ABY as he died in 41 ABY on his flagship Anakin Solo after being struck down by Jaina Solo.

I can't seem to figure out what incident they're trying to show; from 25 ABY to 29ABY the Yuzhan Vong War raged on so the only logical conclusion could be that the film depicts either the Ssi-ruuvi invasion or the Dark Nest Crisis but even they don't fall very cleanly in the 30 year after bit...so I am at a loss to determine which is which !

Saw the movie yesterday at at 5 :45 am !! One word is wow.

What can i say? The same story line is not expected, the movie is a departure of episode 1,2,3. JJ Abrams definitely did a great job --- he illustrates the rise of a new galactic order, a new 'form' of the Empire. Some of the old classic protagonists will die, yes, *sigh*, but this opens the storyline.....

i can't post any more if i don't want to spoil it for you. JUST WATCH IT!!!

LMFAO!!!

Drove to New York actually at 4:pm friday to meet up with 3 of my buddies (Japanese immigrants like me), stayed at my friend Daisuke's --- all of us went to a diner at 11 pm, literally ate there and stayed there for 4 hours. At around 3 am, we drove to one of the IMAX centers near Rockland / Bear Mountain , NY. Camped out at the line (where there were like plenty of others camped). LMFAO!

Saw the movie bro, it just takes you into a new world. And a lot of unexpected(s) there. Can't wait to see the next one.

I hope its not another 2 year wait....
