In india, its not. Indians regardless of their faith are indians first not muslims. No body knew that person sitting on chair is muslim.

Standing for National anthem is personal choice and further Indian national anthem as per Islamic rulings against our religion so Indian Muslims should have right to choose standing for a thing which is against their religion.

Faith and religion are important but they cannot be the only guide on how to live your life. If we went by religion alone, we'd be living like in medieval times. Even religion adapts to the changes in society. You'll find that true about every religion.
Besides, every Muslim I knew stood up for the national anthem.

1 The Supreme court of India has said that it is compulsory to stand of National Anthem when it is played in Movie Theaters. Obviously it has given exception to disabled as they are unable to do so

2 You are confusing National Song and National Anthem. Around 10% of the extremist muslims have a problem with the National Song Others are fine with it. No one has problem with National Anthem

BTW he was NOT called Pakistani because he is a Muslim. He was called Pakistani because he did not stand and in the darkened movie theater it must have been difficult to see that he was in a wheel chair

Calling someone Pakistani is like calling them Anti nationals and traitors. I am 99% sure that those 2 did not know he was wheelchair bound when they said it

For Muslims the most supreme orders are from Allah and messenger PBUH and as per Islamic teachings Muslims are not allowed to sing Indian National anthem since it is against the basic teachings of Islam.

what a dumb law.... and supreme court judges behave like some kings, whats the reasoning to do this farce. when some petitioner asked judges to stand for national anthem before court proceedings, they did not like it.
what a bunch of hypocrites... if anywhere it is ever appropriate on daily basis, its courts, police/army cantt, parliament/assembly.

It has nothing to do with religion anymore.

It's what you use as the final brahmastra in your quiver after plumbing the depths of all known filthiest slurs in common and uncommon usage.

Not surprised anymore about any news like this about india and her society anymore. As i said in another thread, modi is a blessing for Pakistan. I hope he stays in power for another term, he have single handedly radicalized indian society and have given it in the hands of hindu extremist bigots. Eventually this drama will end up in breakage of india. Blessing in disguise
