Actually girls who are around 12 years old tend to taller than boys their age because boys have their growth spurt a bit later. So a 12 year old wife can probably defend herself against her 12 year old husband more easily.
An average 18 year old man though, is taller and stronger than an 18 year old woman, so the woman has less chance.
So your defence argument doesn't really work scientifically.

It's not, I used to be in medical school and we did lectures about the onset of puberty. Girls tend to go through their growth spurt first, so a 12 year old wife is likely to be taller than her 12 year old husband. What I said was biologically correct.

Many young teenagers here are in relationships (dating, have sex etc) and noone cares. All they care about is educating them on how to use a condom and consent. However if anyone were to propose getting those teenagers married then suddenly people like yourself would crying that they are psychologically immature or lack knowledge.

Also this thread has become focused on the age 12. When the law makes it illegal for marriage under 18. There are other ages like 16,17 where marriage is fine (in the eyes of non-Muslims) for example minimum age of marriage in the UK is 16.

Then why were you two ignorant of middle school health science? You should've know that physically, a 12 year old girl can defend better against a 12 year old boy than a 18 year old girl can against a 18 year old boy. Instead you just accused me of supporting rape lol.

Look maybe in sri lanka and india, teenagers don't hook up. But they do in the UK, 12 year old, 13 year olds etc... all dating each other. Most people here have no problem with that, they don't try to prevent it. But suddenly problems emerges if someone says the M word (marriage) for two 12 year olds or two 13 year olds etc.

Sure you are more mature when you're older and sure pregnancy is safer when girls are older or above a specific weight. But being fully mature isn't a requirement for marriage and pregnancies can be prevented with contraception (like what schools encourage here...). So if you're going to down the rabbit hole of following the west, you better be ready to take all their ideas because sooner or later that's probably what your society will probably do.

Noone is making anyone, either boy or girl, marry anyone.

Nor is anyone making baby factories. Although many Indian women do become surrogate for foreigners so you might want to check out who is the literal baby factory nation...

Same way any any law works. You decide which age groups can marry each other and then you enforce. Like this law is saying 18+ people can carry each other and the police will enforce the law.

Look yeh, in 30-50 years, young secondary school teens in india will probably be dating each other openly and having sex. You people will for the most part, have no problem with it because your society is becoming more western over time.
