It does not work like that.
Pakistan wants Indian land, Sri Lanka does not want Indian land. They are a sovereign nation..and as such we cannot interfere in their nation's working. You cannot equate the two.

If there was ethnic cleansing of Sri Lankan Tamils(or any other ethnic group) going on, then there was a case on humanitarian grounds. But since that is not happening, we have no grounds to interfere.

In any case, I know your kind of people and I am happy to say that while a large number of Tamil's used to think like you in the past, the newer generation does not. Your kind of people are reducing in numbers. I'll give it another generation before this mentality is completely wiped out from Tamil Nadu.

The current generation is more aggressive than the previous generations. Once Karuna's DMK won 40 out 40 seats in MP election, now its reduced to zero... do you know why?

The current generation is more aggressive without a doubt - on the right things! As it is all across Indian youth.

DMK losing and Jaya winning is a sure sign that the people of Tamil Nadu are moving from extreme parochialism on Tamil issues to a more moderate stance. DMK was the paragon of Tamil Nadu putting up walls around itself on Tamil pride and language and ethnicity and whatnot...it was he who was the first always to imply that Tamil Nadu might go its separate way or that Tamil Nadu is separate from India.

The current generation is far more relaxed, far far more integrated to the national mainstream. They study, go out all over India to study and work. This has been the result of consistent economic and academic integration across India. Its not a wisp in the air that might disappear.

The result is that the newer generation does not consider Tamil Nadu as separate from India. Wait and watch if you don't believe me. Its happening, give it a decade or two and even the ones who wish to remain deliberately blind would not be able to ignore it.

As far as LTTE was concerned - everything has a temporal utility. SL then was acting against Indian security by giving Pakistan rights despite saying it was neutral. They were planning to give US a naval base in exchange for monetary compensation.
And lastly, they were indeed going against the Tamils.

As of this moment in 2015 - Sri Lanka is neither harming Indian security in any way. Neither are they acting against Tamils or any other ethnic group. There is zero reason to act against them in any shape or form. Though the last Sri Lankan govt did harm our security by allowing Chinese nuclear submarines to dock twice.

In fact, SL govt is cooperating with us to enhance their and our security and working on development. That makes them a potential ally, not a potential adversary.

DMK projected them as the tamil guardians but the betrayal during the Lankan civil war by giving support to the Congress brought them defeat... Not the reason, what u have told... Anti-Srilanka protest intensified only after the college students all over Tamil Nadu began to protest and you say current generation doesn't gives more importance to Tamil sentiments than India... Which is the same reason brought back Jaya to the throne...

Srilanka acted against India so you justify training tamil rebels at that time.. when srilanka started acting in favor of india, you decided to fight the rebels you trained... how could you justify the injustice done to the Tamil rebels and the tamils who trusted India? Its a pure trait and you call it geo-political diplomacy??

And you say the current srilankan govt acts in favor of india... so you expect tamils here to forget the last governments atrocities against tamils and treat them as friends? Tell this to a tamil when you meet and ask to treat srilankans as their friends...This is why no one here listens when some one from north speaks...

I personally dont have hate against any common srilankan.. People here hate the previous Rajapaksha govt more, hate against the current govt its very less and now people have some hope that something will happen for the common Tamil population in srilanka...

Granted it was a ugly war fought against a globally banned terror group that did not adhere to any rules of warfare and one way propaganda but yeah lets leave that for another discussion

Why i ask you that is Angelo Mathews the Sri Lankan national captain is a Tamil himself(Yeah so much for Tamils being discriminated in the island).. And he will be representing Delhi not Sri Lanka in the IPL ..So just wondering how all that equates here to the ban

Tks for the clarification.. One very important point though try and do some independent research on Sri Lanka other than sticking to what your politicians and state media often owned by those same politicians propagate.. Tamils in Sri Lnka have every single right enjoyed by every other Sri Lankan not just the Sinhalease.. There maybe discriminations in practicing them
In certain cases due to politics and other matters but then which country is perfect

But at no point in the country's constitution or law is there discrimination towards minority's and I'm a person a minority community so I would know that..
