Squash champ resigns from PML-Q, joins PTI
PeshawarFormer World Squash Champion Qamar Zaman Khan resigned from Pakistan Muslim League-Qauid (PML-Q) and decided to join Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI).
Talking to Pakistan Observer here on Thursday, he said that he would formally announce joining the party in a press conference in Islamabad soon and added that the PTI chief Imran Khan was the only leader who had ability to pull the country out of the present crises.
The former world champion said Imran Khan was a sincere leader and he had already showed his honesty when he was captain of national cricket team.
The PTI chief, he said bestowed Pakistan with World Cup in 1992 and he expressed the hope that he (Imran) would show the same performance to bring it out of the crises being faced by the people including terrorism, unemployment, loadshedding of electricity, price hike and other problems.
Mr Khan further said performance of all other parties had been witnessed by the nation which he added did nothing for the masses while the sincere politicians were joining PTI particularly youths became of part of the party.
It is worth mentioning here that Qamar Zaman Khan had the world title for three times and eleven times world No-2.
