Spy Games: ‘Don’t release Indian terrorist’

LAHORE: A group of women and children protested in front of the Lahore Press Club on Thursday to urge the government not to show any mercy to convicted Indian spy Sarabjeet Singh. The demonstration was arranged by an organisation calling itself the Pakistan Meo Youth Forum. The protesters, most of whom were children, said they had not been personally affected by the bombings in Lahore and Kasur Singh had been sentenced to death for, but they were taking a stand against terrorism. “The allegations against Sarabjeet Singh have been proved and he is a RAW agent,” said Amjad Shareef Lone, the president of the forum. “Terrorism is our biggest problem. It has destroyed our country.” The protesters held placards and chanted slogans demanding that the government not entertain any request to release the “Indian terrorist” from death row.

he even confessed to the crime....by all means its fine that family is given visitation rights --especially if the prisoner has been showing a good behaviour.


but i dont think he can, or should be released.....no country should release convicted terrorists. I wouldnt expect any country to do that.

why do you think we would imprison him if we didnt have proof (not just his confession alone) that he was the culprit for those bomb attacks?

he was found guilty by the courts....if you have questions about it, take it up with the courts.

I don't think Pakistanis are wrong. What we have perception for terrorist of Pakistan in India is same for RAW agents in Pakistan. Although Indians would differ in interpreting both side story, it is rights of Pakistan to decide whether to hang, jail or release.

I will give few options.

If he confessed but no proof gathered : Released and ask India to released Dr. Cheesti.
If he confessed, proof their : Keep him in Jail for another 5 years on precondition that Dr. Cheesti will be released.
You can keep him in Jail forever.
Don't hang please. I am against capital punishment in any circumstances. (Even in Ajmal Kasab's)

i can assure you that Pakistan would not hold a prisoner (regardless of nationality) without credible evidence and without a verdict by the courts.....

as for Kasab -- if the charges against him are true (at this point, makes no difference since he was found guilty) -- then sure why shouldnt he be hung?


contrary to popular indian belief, Pakistanis are digusted that somebody would kill innocent people like that in such a fashion. Pakistanis however are angry at the way indian were pointing fingers on us, and engaging in jingoistic behaviour and actions.... (off topic though)

So This is the same judicial process which could not convict Mr Hafiz Saeed and allow him to spew venom against India (This is also an offence and Crime).. We have Kasab (26/11 convict) and Swami Assemanand (Samjhota express convict) in jail. In your case, Nopes Not.. Anyways, Children in photos are not that matured to understand all this espionage so writing an article about them is a kiddish act in it self.

Regarding Sarabjit, If you are sure about the heinous act he committed then why are you targetting him alone. Why not go to International court and file a case against GoI and RAW? We will also support the transparency.

The law is full of technicalities and if you pay attention you will have realized that many accused or suspected of terrorism among other charges are being set free by courts for a variety of reasons, to argue that these are manifestation of other than poorly crafted laws and legal procedures, well, it's just unworthy.

^^^ Spewing venom and me.. Well here I need evidences if you can provide.. else this is just a personal attack. By the way, I can provide you multiple links where Hafiz Saeed is spreading hatred towards India publicly but will leave you to do some search yourself.

Regarding providing a platform on PDF by Pakistanis, This is open to all by everyone and our opinion and hit counts make it a hit website. Atleast a think tank like you should have knowledge about the same.. right?

Now lets focus on thinking ability again.. Do you seriously think the kids on Photos understand the espionage? No? Do they understand difference between Good Taliban and bad Taliban? NO? Hence this article does not qualify for serious discussion here.

Now lets talk about technical legalities, We know it is biased (Let me say one more time again "BIASED"). Lets take examples now, Where is Mr Raymond Davis?? Why he is released?? Why Nawaz Sharif is having cases when Musharraf was in regime and it became vice versa when Zardari came in? Do you smell here something.. I do.. Why Indian terrorist is fast tracked for the court based on confession and not based on facts. If there are then it is a direct case against India as a conspiracy towards Pakistan's soverignity and it can go ahead to any world forum and raise its voice like when Mossad Killed a spy in Dubai then case was filed.
