It was so good watching this program. What people often do not realize is that the time of comparing one aircraft to another aircraft per se is obsolete (specification are important but comparing them with a plane with another specifications is less important). Now its more important to compare group effort with group effort. One can bring the best weapon into the theater but if you do not know how to maximize the advantages then you can still loose.

Exactly and in centric war fare it does not matter if the radar installed in J-17 does not have the range the PL-15 has - as long there are other in the area that can guide the missile...

It's not just the range sir it a) kinematics i.e
dual pulse rocket motor i.e powered endgame maneuverability and energy
b) far more advanced active seeker and its resistance to ecm etc. HENCE
larger no escape zone so range is not the only consideration please don't equate pl15 with just range sir
its an overall better missile than sd10 even within the tracking range of klj 7 v2
