Spanish cyclist disputes claim that 6 levies died protecting him

Why in the world would the cyclist say anything false? what possible gain or loss does he have to gain. In addition , The video is proof enough that there was a bombing against a bus and NOT some lone cyclist on an adventure that no one really knew or cared about. The story was quite likely planted as the levies dying protecting the white foreign man is much more PR positive than them dying for pithy local pilgrims.

Even if we give the benefit of doubt to the levies and say that the attacked party was acting as forward recce for the cyclist security detail, then perhaps it makes sense.

plus in the end of the video some levies guy is talking in urdu saying that 6 levies men died and when the attendent asked rhetorical question if the bombing was yesterday, the levy many clearified that it was today, meaning the blast he was talking about was not of the bus

Several times in the video we can see multiple levies with this jackass..

The cyclist isn't disputing the number of people who died, he is disputing the number of people who died protecting him from the blast.

This is where the erroneous reporting of the Pakistani media comes to light.

1) Seeing as he lay on his belly with his face in the camera for the duration of the battle, I could hardly say he was an "Eye Witness" of the attack.

2) Shock is a common after affect of being involved in an ambush and I have seen "Combat Virgins" in battle, what they do in shock depends to the person. Some cry hysterically, some lose all regards for personal safety and charge into gunfire, some become numb to the surroundings and beyond but MOST have no or little memory of the incident afterwards.

I think the levies (or ISPR) switched the story to make their losses more heroic. Dying in an IED/Bomb blast vs dying while fighting gunmen protecting a guest..
