Why is UK not much interest in space or they not interested as of ESA?

I heard countries like US,Russia,China,India,Japan,Canada,France etc in space programs, but never heard names from UK?

I'm a big SpaceX & Elon Musk Fan, so watching the mission fail was quit painful.

The fault has been attributed to overpressure in an oxygen tank.
