. . .
Pakistan should go for it with open arms. Anything manufactured in Pakistan brings jobs to the locals and we can earn hard cash too. No brainer.

.
Have you ever came across Pakistan's solar energy policy?
Have you ever seen govt. inviting open bids for the solar energy projects?
Look around.. world has so much solar installed capacity, while we have almost non, despite being the energy starved nation.
Agree or not, Zardari has turned Pakistan into a corrupt nation to the point of no return.

Solar energy projects are beyond manufacturing... they will give us much needed electrical energy with minimal investment.
(We) A nation with no money to spend, can have cheap energy provided to us by foreign investors.
Local production of solar panels is even better news, but i'm not sure if RAW would let it succeed.
Pakistan's govt. need to come out with strong policy to protect and promote local manufacturing and crackdown at the corrupt officials at customs at Karachi ports and airports.
There has been so much corruption in customs that Pakistan customs is the hot pot of money laundering.

Don't tell me listen... I'm the one here with knowledge so you better listen.
You have a question, i'll try to answer. There's no more obligation i have towards you.
Last govt. did took some steps towards solar policy, not enough.
People having solar panels at home is not linked with any govt. incentive linked to any policy.
We needed to have liberal solar policy ever since the early 2000. Today we are exactly 2 decades late.
I remember during Zardari era KESC is on record charging solar tax to those who install solar panels, actually discouraging the practice.
Quad-e-Azam solar is not enough and it was handled by unqualified people, result is it's 10x more expensive than what India pay.
