Couple of days back, 2 Dalit girls were brutally molested by 12 Muslim men. To add insult, they videoed the whole thing and circulated it.

usually anything Dalit is red flag for Indian media and it's debated for days in media and in parliament with huge political uproar but since the perpetrators are muslims, no one cares. No debates on TV. No political party is backing the dalits.

This just exposes them.

And to top it off, Do you know that it is the Hindu govt in the state that caught all these 12 Muslim men who molested the girls and is now booking them under the atrocities act to give justice to the Dalit girls.

A group of eight people headed by an IIT student Manish from the Ocean Engineering department came to the mess and first asked Sooraj his name and later started hitting him. He has severe nose bleeding and he is unable to open his right eye. Sooraj was a participant in the beef fest, not an organiser,” said an IIT student.

The students had allegedly threatened them saying they have a list of all the students who participated in the IIT beef fest. “Manish had raised death threats against another PhD student earlier. A complaint was filed with dean and campus security,” the student said.

dravidanadu is a non-starter. Karnataka, Andra Pradesh and TN want to have very little with each other.

It is however a very tall order for the center to really enforce this law - we will see if they can prevail. If they do, it'd be quite a feather in BJP's cap,

2. This only talks about having proper sale of cattle to butcher shops, you know to track animals from farmer to butcher. This is to reduce theft as well as to make sure proper treatment of animals.
3. This is part of case in SC, where the court directed the govt to come up with laws for humane treatment of animals for butchering.

Right now, one needs to look at how the animals are transported or the places they are butchered to know why SC asked for these rules.

The people protesting it are two kinds. First kind are ones who wants to make it a political battle and second one is the billion dollar beef industry in India which thrives on cattle theft.

These rules ensure that cattle thefts don't happen and this does not sit well with the industry that thrives on THEFT.

Perhaps you didn't get the memo but we don't care whether anyone eats beef or not, as long as they do it inside their homes or hotels.
