You're reading Chinese diplomacy correctly. China does not support Iran's nuclear weapon development in its official stance. Iran has to take into careful calculations on the nuclear plan since Iran is surrounded with very hostile environment. There could be serious repercussions from Iranian rivals or enemies like SA, Israel, USA, and etc. if Iran starts nuclear bomb test.

However, China mostly likely will continue on importing oil and gas from Iran for China's energy diversification and geopolitical interest. There are lots of ways or combination of the ways to circumvent "petrodollar" problem, e.g. barter trade, Chinese Yuan trade, gold trade, .... America probably will try to make a deal with China to cut down the import significantly. However, it is very hard to predict how much China is willing to curtail if Trump administration put the Iran's energy commodity as part of the deal in the Sino-American trade war.

To be fair and accurate, Turkey DID strongly facilitate ISIS manpower moving into SYria(With NATO's approval offcourse) early in the Syrian civil war but they stopped/reduced the flow after a while. But it seems they have their own islamic terrorist proteges in Idlib now though. Just sayin...

Salman, nothing will become of this. Iran produces just under 3 mbpd today. Iraq about 4mbpd. Combined production if we add a 1 mbpd of Syrian oil to this equals around 8 mbpd!

Id like to see the rest of the world combined replace this amount.......
