@Rajaraja Chola
Well as some may know, I am in China now, and there were quite misconceptions and conceptions about the Chinese in the Internet. Well I have met quite peoples, talked with them, and known their opinions. Its a civil discussion from an Indian point of view.
Misconceptions and Conceptions
1. Chinese mens are NOT short as all claim. They are decent height like say, 5.6-5.10 feet. I rarely saw people more than my height though (Mine is 6.2). But it fine. I found them like Normal Indians height. But they are fond of heights 2 or 3 people asked me and were surprised to find me not have a GF , inspite of being good height . Perhaps they dont know about the requirements of Indian girls
2. Ok. Chinese girls are short. Got to Accept. Indian girls are not much height either, but still I found them short.
3. They do not hate India. Infact not many know, they had a war with India before. Many seem to like India for its culture and diversity.
4.They do not love Pakistanis either. They see Pakistan is formenting trouble in their Uighur state, and the country have Islamist terrorism problems. But they hope Pakistan will come out of its problems.
5. Really, Chinese cities are well developed. Even smaller ones. India have a long long long way to go before even comparing ourselves with China.
6. People follow the rules on the road which are a refreshing change from the cities in India. China have the advantage of being a large nation and less population density and having less tropical climate. However we cannot shy away from the fact Indians do not follow the basic rules.
7. Its economy is well developed. There are slums of course. Of course its a developing nation which will eradicate poverty eventually.
8. They hate Japanese and do not trust anything American. But they admire Germany. They feel Germany accepted their mistake and are now doing things repenting their past mistakes, but Japanese arent doing like that. Instead they provoke China.
9. Well. Negatives now. No English. Foreigners will have a tough time living in China. Very tough.
10. Vegetarian foods/? WTH is that in China? Vegeterians beware Indian foods are a rarity in China, and South Asians in general will have to pack their foods on account of travel to China.
11. Internet. Every X,Y and Z sites blocked. Local Chinese have a localised websites for their survival. But foreigners will find it tough to find address or maps in China, except of course other than in Hong Kong, where Google is not banned.
12. Bikes are banned. Many Chinese do feel for the lack of Bikes. I am not sure why bikes are banned, but for mens, its a different feel. Incidentally, I saw a Super Bike (only one) . Dono only if rich people are allowed to ride or it is a electric one.
13. Personally didnt face a unpleasant moment except a small incident, when a taxi driver refused to let me out without paying the RMB. I was not sure how much he was asking, and I was asking the Hotel security in translating for me. But he locked the windows and started demanding from me. Eventually security came for my rescue This is small incident and every foreigner will face in every alien country he is in . No problems.
Till Now China is Cool. Recommended for tourists to visit China, but strictly with english speaking guides and areas with Indian or Western restaurents.
Edit the Pakistani part , so a over hyper sensationalist admin deem it banned

I agree with most, except N.o4 ... most Chinese still support Pakistan and our good relationship.
About N.o12, currently few Chinese ride the bike ... the electric bicycle replace it, another reason is car price is cheap ( > 30,000 RMB )... many Chinese families they bought cars not ride bikes again. Today China is a real Car Kingdom, not a Bike Kingdom anymore. There r so many cars on China streets, now many China cities limited to issue car licenses (to control new cars on the road).
About N.o13 a small incident ... LOL, this's a misunderstanding to different local customs. In China ppl usually pay for taxi fee inside the taxi after reach the destination, not go outside.
