By this day, 1971 Op Gibraltar was in full swing. Significant successful ops had taken place in the Ghaznavi sector (Mendhar - Rajauri).

"An over run Indian position during 1965 Indo Pak War"
That looks like a textbook example of a position from where troops have made a successful withdrawal and was not overrun.

Your celebration is like a drowning man clutching to straws for his survival. Whatever happened in war of 1965 was too much to digest for Pakistan. So half cooked recipe with added spices is served to keep spirits high and live in denial.

Just think what was the objective of Pakistan's misadventure and what did you achieve.. let me summarize it for you ….

Pakistan did not succeed in none of its objectives.
  1. The grand insurrection in the valley was a dismal failure.
  2. In the Chhamb/ Jurian sector operation GRAND SLAM was effectively trumped though only at last minute nad by skin of our teeth.
  3. In Khem Karan area, the sector selected by PA for sensational thrust for isolating XI corps and paving the way for cake walk to Delhi. An ambitious design, was nipped in bud.
  4. Kashmir the political objective for which the war was waged, appeared to have receded even further, beyond Pakistan’s reach.

Again, it's your country and your right to celebrate or condemn wrong actions of your leadership. Pick up whatever pleases you. Rest assured that you'll always find us reminding you about reality. :D

Oh baby I am with you and can understand the pain in your heart……
Our sympathy is with you……:yu::rofl:

i will quote what another indian member said "thank god we have the instrument of surrender or the pakistanis might have claimed to have won that war as well"
