In "Controversial issues in criminology" it is stated that "The element of time involved between murderous acts is primary in the differentiation of serial, mass, and spree murderers", later elaborating that spree killers "will engage in the killing acts for days or weeks" while the "methods of murder and types of victims vary".

Most of them have no political goals or any wider agenda.

This differentiate them from other types of criminals.

i wonder if someone is mentally challenged can find gun so easily to go on shooting rampage?And one who knows to operate and fire gun can be regarded as mentally challenged. instead he in all his senses knew what he has been doing.

Will you call a person say an educated one who has never laid his hands on a gun and ask him to operate one as mentally challenged ?

Its not the same kind of crime that are listed above. They are hate crimes, targets were just Mohajirs.

I think I used hate crime at wrong place at just one place. Most of them are hate crimes. The Mohajirs' killing was done by a mob. Kindly see the post I made about spree killers.
