Tell me where you get these ideas from? There are trolls in the china defense section, without a doubt. But there also other trolls lurking in PDF. No Chinese posters (their flags) have ever claimed that the walked on the moon but if they did, they're clearly delusional and you ought to shut them up. Regarding your comment removal, it probably has to do with off topic discussions (the moderator usually deletes any off topic comments despite good intentions). If what your saying is true, I agree with your assessment (no Chinese ever walked on the moon). I hope this satisfies your answer but you can always contact our mod to resolve issues ...

Pakistanis have special place for China.



Not sure how it is moderated in PDF by the forum software does provide capability to make a user a moderator for a specific forum or a list of forums or across all forums.

Seems like Iranian, Chinese & Turkish forums have their own ethnic moderators in addition to super moderators of Pakistani origin. Indian forum seems to be strictly managed by Pakistanis.

Mr. Straight-shooter, the Chinese portion is moderated by an excellent German mod. He is very intellectual and quite lenient on the various posts. I have not even heard of an Indian sub-forum in PDF but remember this is a Pakistani defense forum, things will be a little heated in that category. I'm doubtful that the aforementioned forums are composed on biased mods with regards to their ethnicities. I only follow the Chinese portion and I can tell you it is generally well moderated ... compared to some other ones. Unfortunately, there is a critical shortage of moderators as a whole in PDF .

Why and How? Don't the moderator deleting and banning know about this? And there is no way you would know who deleted or banned you.

Many of my posts also get deleted or have been thread banned on multiple occasions. The worst issue with getting thread banned is it does not reflect your status on that thread. So you get thread banned and your opponents narrative wins by default as the people reading would just assume that you could not counter or defend your point.

You need to understand that a forum can have multiple moderators. So the German moderator may be very objective but others may not be. Some how I feel Turkish and Chinese members are very touchy. That is why I try to avoid those forums as much as possible. South Asian forum is primarily a India bashing forum for most part while Indian Defence forum is where I would prefer to read but it gets spammed from time to time with threads that ought to be in the South Asian section.

History, Members Club, World Affairs and Strategic Affairs are best forums where I would like to read, learn and post.

Stealth troll

A type of Internet troll who tries to annoy a message board or chat room as much as possible while staying on the brink of suspension or banning from the site administration.

Usual methods include saying, or eluding to, things they know will piss a group of people off but without actually breaking any outright rules rules of the board.

I recon that hence have never and will never complain. I neither report any posts nor complain about negative ratings or getting banned. But if moderators provide a reason it helps irrespective of if you agree or not. This is where I appreciate and admire @The Eagle. Every time he banned me, he gave me a reason. Other moderators are not so bold. They just delete the post or ban you without a providing a reason. They just want to be anonymous. I take it that they are embarrassed to provide a reason and they know that providing a reason would result in revealing their name too.

I think Pakistanis also interact with Chinese frequently. If your Indian ... well let's just say you're in for a tough time (It's PDF .... whatdya expect)

hmm... no, I just ignore chinese posters.. i have no problems with pakistanis... never had any tough time apart from being banned half a dozen times(which is actually a blessing in disguise )

And I've gotten enough posts deleted and warnings from.only one mod.

....and that is why they keep discouraging any new moderators. Just for the record, I have never myself applied for such a distinction, nor encouraged such thoughts by others even in discussion. So there is nothing personal about this observation.

The silver lining though is that trolls help crybabies grow some thicker skin.
