Solar Canals Catching On In India

Ok - Now is it not better to plant trees on banks of canals to reduce evaporation, maintain natural outlook of country side also have positive impact on environment rather than any possible negative impact. The solar panels can be installed on more appropriate places i.e. barren/deserted land.



It's same amount of water which previously was flowing in rivers now distributed in canals.

Evaporation depends on surface area, not volume. So, by digging canals, we created more surface area of the water.
