What's new

So this is India's most modern city?! | Bangalore

I wont write off india this soon...as i have myself seen tremendous changes In the last 15 years alone i have seen tremendous change...where there were no roads we have good quality tarmac...that too in the remotest parts not just tier two or three towns...10-15 years back...it was not the case...even with all the corruption going on left and right...its a huge feat nonetheless...just think how far this country would have progressed if only we found a way to tackle this corruption sucking this nation's blood dry...if india can do this when it has such a grave disease called corruption...india is only showing its 30% potential now...just imagine what it can do with 50% or more...

Thats very very good pay as it excludes meals and if they are providing housing benefit thats icing on the cake...dont know how much its costs to run a family in china but if a family of 3 or 4 can get by comfortably by spending fifty percent of the salary around 600-700 dollars...then its very good...also is driving heavy vehicles looked down upon like in my society or there is no social stigma attached to this profession ? thanks.
Yes. I think 600 dollars are more than enough to live a decent life for a family of 3 or 4, if not in the tier 1 cities like Beijing and Shanghai. There is no specific social stigma attached to truck drivers, it is a ordinary profession like construction workers or factory workers, but a lot of car drivers hates them because they used to be very aggressive and dangerous when on the road, but it changed a lot recently due to stricter traffic laws.

Pakistani cities look like they are from Europe when compared to Mumbai or Bangalore.
Would love to visit someday.

I feel the GDP per capita is grossly underestimated for Pakistan and opposite for India. No other reason could justify this disparity.
Paper money does not represent the actual standard of living

You should learn more about India. You have no clue on what you're talking about

@Srinivas already clarified that he replied in hurry and somehow it is google's mistake, the image has been used by several blog sites, news sites quoting it to be peripheral ring road Bangalore, hence the mix up...

Poor people are not restricted from moving to a city in India. That's the main reason.
