Snowfall blankets Abbottabad, adjoining areas after 15 years

MURREE (Dunya News) – A thick blanket of snow has covered various parts of Pakistan including Gilliat, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Murree and Azad Kashmir.

According to details, Murree and Gilliat are observing intermittent snowfall, turning weather cold again. The tourists are ready to enjoy in chilly weather

Several roads heading to Muzaffarabad, Poonch district, Bagh, Haveli, Hattian and Neelum district have also been closed for every kind of traffic due to land sliding.

About 1 to 2 feet snowfall has been recorded in Toli, Sadhan Gali, Pir Chanasi and Neela Butt while Thandiani is also experiencing snowfall.

Mansehra division and its adjoining areas are also facing cold weather due to snow however, Tanawal has witnessed snowfall after 11 years, blocking connecting roads to Kaghan and Shinkiari.

The changing weather condition has also badly disrupted the power in the areas.

On the other hand, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that the rain showers will continue in several areas including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sargodha, KP province, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir up until Friday

Weather has drastically shifted, I spent my childhood in Thandiani and we would witness snowfall starting mid of November and it would last sometimes through end of March. Now December, January go dry. Awwwww yar kya din thay wo bhi................
