According to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), people in the Gaza Strip in Palestine launched a large-scale protest against Israel on March 30th. The protest, which is expected to last for six weeks, killed at least seven Palestinians on the first day.
According to the statistics of the Palestinian Ministry of Health, as of the afternoon of the 30th, the conflict between the IDF and Palestinian protesters has caused at least 7 Palestinians to lose their lives and as many as 550 have been injured. Six of them died after the protest began on the 30th. The wounded were mostly hit with Israeli rubber bullets or inhaled tear gas.

The American Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) stated that this is the day since the fall of the largest number of people killed in the Gaza Strip.
The protest was organized by the Palestinian Islamic Resistance "Hamas" organization, known as the "Great March of Return," and aimed at requiring Israel to allow Palestine refugees to return to occupied land.
Most of the 2 million inhabitants currently living in the Gaza Strip were refugees who were driven out of their original land after the establishment of Israel in 1948.
The event began on March 30 and it was Palestine's Land Day. On this day in 1976, six Palestinians were shot and killed by Israeli soldiers at a rally protesting against Israeli occupation of land. The event will continue until May 15th, the day when Israel will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the country. This is also considered by the Palestinians as a "disaster day."
According to the plan, Hamas built "tent camps" at five locations on the Pakistani side of the Gaza border. These "forward bases" are only 100 meters away from Israel's protective fence.

Hamas repeatedly reiterated that this protest was a peaceful demonstration. "We do not want to see blood flow." At the same time, they also warned the Israeli side not to make excessive reactions.
The New York Times stated that most protestors and demonstrators did maintain a proper distance from the fence and did not participate in violent actions. However, Reuters mentioned in the report that hundreds of Palestinian young people ignored the dissuasion of organizers and approached the wall, which greatly increased the risk of confrontation with the Israeli army.

The admission hospital stated that one of them was killed while throwing stones at the border. Another person died before the official start of the protest on Friday. The deceased was a Palestinian peasant and was killed by Israeli tanks.
Israel regards it as "riot." The IDF said on Friday afternoon that about 17,000 Palestinians launched riots at five locations on the fence in Gaza. "Thugs" threw ignited tires, burning bottles and stones on the wall and the Israeli army. The Israeli army dispersed the crowd and opened fire on the main instigators.

In order to prevent the protesters from breaking through the fence, Israeli troops have deployed heavy equipment to pile up the earth behind the fence and added barbed wire.
Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff Jiadi Ezenkott said that in order to prevent Pakistani personnel from "massively infiltrating" into the Israeli-controlled area, "We have deployed more than 100 snipers. They have drawn from all units of the military, mainly from Special Forces."
Ernest Koote warned that Israel will not tolerate Pakistani personnel destroying the border protection network and "infiltrate into Israel on a large scale" and "will not tolerate arriving in residential areas." The sniper "has received an order and fires if there is a threat to the life of the party".
President Trump announced in December last year that he recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and will relocate the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv. According to the US plan, the new building is scheduled to open in mid-May on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of Israel.
The U.S. move was strongly opposed and condemned by the Pakistani side, further obstructing the Palestine-Israel reconciliation process that has reached a deadlock, and has also made the Palestinian-Israeli relationship tighten again.
