Gemiler ikinci bir emre kadar Ege Denizi’nde kalacak. Akdeniz’de yaşanacak gelişmelere bağlı olarak gemiler bu bölgeye geri gönderilebilecek.

ITAR-TASS’ın haberine göre, Rusya Genelkurmay Başkanlığı tarafından yapılan açıklamada, “Moskova kruvazörü liderliğindeki savaş gemilerimizin Akdeniz’de değişen durum nedeniyle bağlı oldukları Sivastopol üssüne dönüşleri askıya alınmıştır. Türkiye’nin Çanakkale boğazları açıklarında beklemeye alınan gemiler, yapılacak değerlendirmeden sonra Karadeniz’e dönmek yerine tekrar Akdeniz sularına indirilebilir” denildi.

Russian warships ordered to linger in the Aegean

Russian warships returning from a Mediterranean mission to Sebastopol have been ordered to stay in the Aegean Sea just south of the Black Sea Straits.

According to a senior defence source, they may be used for dealing with ‘an unstable situation’ in the Eastern Mediterranean.

The squadron is led by the missile-carrying cruiser Moskva.
