The JF-17s are escorting the Chinese PM for the symbolism of the friendship, but isn't it ironic that they are also escorting a US-made Boeing 747?

How so?

Where's the irony?

There are alot of Western components in JFT as well...nothing too ironic IMO.

@TaimiKhan please take notice of violations

Interesting to note, on one side the JFT are in line abreast formation while on the other side they maintain a Vic formation....cool.

Brief footage of Three JF-17s flying over the saluting dais @ 1.00.

@1:15, see the camo on the guys on the bottom left...doesn't look like the Multicam employed currently, neither is it SSG.

Or maybe it is a lighter version of the multicam?

As for the 'istaqbal', I think it was a bit overboard, okay CT PM goes, some other folks go, but CJCSC, COAS, ACM, President all are there, not really ideal. Aik do banday kafi thay.

And why the heck are Bilawal, Asifa and some other non-government PPP goons in the front row of the reception?

Utterly disgraceful, they have no state position whatsoever, they aren't even members of the ruling party, they are only the children of the President. Why put them on the front row?

Imagine Nawaz Sharif putting up Hamza SHahbaz at the front...Imran Khan has more political standing and state authority than Bilawal! Rehman Malik was also there.

Irony is, some how it is not easy for some people to digest the felicitous protocols extended by Pakistan to the Chinese PM......and now they are desperately thinking of ways to diss this display of reverence.

But I still didn't get where the US made Boeing part fits in...

At 1:15 it is the currently employed multicam.

I agree with the remaining of your post. Disgraceful. PPP guys seem to be taking total advantage they can for the power that remains with them for a few more days.

But I still didn't get where the US made Boeing part fits in...

Wouldn't the symbolism be better served if the Chinese PM was in a Chinese-built jet while being escorted by the jointly built Pak-Chinese JF-17s?

Oh wait, I apologize, the symbolism is pretty hollow if the display of technology depends on lots of western componentry.
Nevermind!

You should be glad he didnt say.......planes were invented by Americans. :omghaha: Where desperation is the driving force, people can concoct pretty insane things to find solace.

This isn't ironic. The irony is a country like Iran, where they top leadership claim to destroy US forever and have their military might over the US themselves use US-built 747s not only for civil airlines but military aviation.

This is irony.

I agree over here, but I doubt that the Chinese military planes have to offer the luxury for the long journey that the 747 does.

That is the Chinese's decision...not ironic for Pakistan.

As you said, never mind.

Representation of both the squadrons , 4 from black spiders and 2 from pathers on the right.

If you can look in it a bit. You'll find the last JFT on the right applying the brakes. That's quite rare in a sense that you might not find many images of the air brakes being applied on JFT while still up in the air.

Joining in a bit too fast....?:D Or may be trying to get a glimpse of the premier from a different angle?
Pretty cool ......
