Police claimed to have apprehended six people, including two policemen, suspected of involvement in a gang raping a woman in Shadman Town area of Karachi.
The alleged victim told police that six armed men had forcefully entered into her house on September 26 at 12 noon, where two of the suspects were being reffered to as Sarfraz and Kamran Malik by their accomplices during the crime.
The complainant said that the suspects raped her on gunpoint, making pictures and videos of the gruesome act.
The suspects had threatened her against informing police about the incident, she added.
The victim said that she had informed her husband of the incident before approaching the police then they filed a case against the accused.
Police have lodged a case against the suspects in the Khwaja Ajmer Nagari police station while six suspects including policemen named as Sarfraz and Malik Danish who are serving in Gulshan-e-Mamar and DIG West Office respectively have been apprehended.
According to police, both suspects remain in the vicinity of the affected woman while other suspects have been identified as Abdul Razzaq, Naeem, Liaquat and Kamran Malik.
