A consortium led by Singapore’s state investor GIC Private Limited has agreed with Vietnam’s largest conglomerate Vingroup JSC to buy a stake in one of the latter’s units for US$500 million, GIC said on Monday. Vingroup will remain the controlling shareholder of the unit, VCM Services and Trading Development Joint Stock Company, after the deal, GIC said in a statement.

Vingroup and VCM Services and Trading Development have “established themselves as reputable retail companies with attractive brands in Vietnam’s fast-growing consumer market,” the statement said.

One thing I admire Singapore. Despite a rich country, the people never stop hard-working. You are much smarter than other in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand etc. they believe they are the real oil sheiks so stop working, stop inventing, stop progressing.

Why not ? the worker, who have work at company with good payment, and have advantage of 10% discount at this time only.:enjoy:

Buying due to discount and buying out of fear of being fired are two different things you know... 17k for a hatchback in a country where most cannot afford cars. Vinfast better start working with the government to force people to buy that under the threat of guns.
