Sindh Police gets new uniforms 'to enhance policing': IGP

The Sindh government has approved the introduction of new uniforms for the Sindh Police force on the recommendation of the provincial police chief, Dr Kaleem Imam.

Sindh Inspector General of Police Imam said that the main reason behind the change in uniforms is to enhance the policing process, and to bring it up to international standards.

According to Deputy Inspector General Operations Maqsood Ahmed, who provided a briefing on the new uniforms at an introduction ceremony, said that they were designed keeping in mind local weather conditions as well as the latest international standards.

Video: Sindh Police introduces new uniform for officers

Sindh Police has introduced new uniform for its officers as per the recommendations of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Dr. Kaleem Imam.

IG Sindh stated that this step is taken to propagate the perception of better policing amongst the citizens.

Earlier in 2018 November, IG Sindh Kaleem met Sindh Law Advisor Murtaza Wahab and discussed reforms about the department where an official order has also been issued to change police uniform on the recommendations of Deputy Inspector General Operations Maqsood Ahmed.

Uniform is not the issue. Issues of Police include shortage of cars and dalas which have no AC. Police issues include shortage of manpower which results in one Police Man doing duty for more than 12 hours. Issues of Police are corruption to counter that body cameras and cameras in Police Cars are needed. Issue of Police include old weapons.

Police needs reforms

Better Police Stations
Better salaries
Better equipment
Better vehicles
Better training
Better facilities
Subsidies for their families
After all that then think about changing the uniform

Most of the street crime is being done under the shadow of Police force and bribery let's not forget about that
