Similarities between Japanese and Urdu?

I've noticed this while watching anime!

That Japanese shares a lot of same words with Urdu!

For example.

Aray? in Japanese/Urdu = Huh?

Sachaii in Japanese and Sachhh in Urdu = Really?

I know at least 10 more!

"All right then" in Japanese is something like Ajchau

And Accha in Urdu means Okay

But the 2 languages are not related. One is a language Isolate and the other is part of the Indo-European language family

In chinese "Jao" means go away..In Urdu its the same

In Russian "Chaey" means tea..In Urdu its the same.

In Chinese (Mandarin I think) 'Chai' means tea as well.

For thousand of years the Silk Road played an important role of transferring trades, sciences and cultures among various ethnic groups. Many Chinese monks went into the Indus Valley and received their Buddhist manuscripts and teachings and brought back to China. Subsequently the Japanese learned their religious philosophies and part of their language from the Chinese through the Koreans.

So it wouldn't surprised that words that did not existed in one's language that could be pick up along this route. Also some word like 'mom' are universal albeit in corrupted forms. There are probably more if one look hard enough.

why dont u share some words boss?2 words are not enough to judge relationship between any 2 or more languages.sach is a sanskrit word (like sathya,sacheela).tamilians also come up with such unfound claims.

one more thing is however many words a language share with another language,it doesnt imply they both are related.in india the spoken hindi has a lot less sanskrit words than that of south indian languages.does tht mean south indian languages are related to sanskrit? a big no.

little bit of off topic, but accha used to be a racial slur towards S.Asians in chinese

anyways, there's a lot of similarity between Japanese & Sanskrit, a lot of their meditation hymns or something are actually directly derived from sanskrit, the only difference has come over the ages due to different accents.

But given that Sanskrit has also played a huge part in evolution of Urdu language one can see the similarity between urdu & japanese too.

Thats true. But one isn't sure if the claim is all bogus. It was actually first proposed by linguist Robert Caldwell.

i am aware of the theory which says japanese and tamil belong to the same family of languages and they both are inflection languages(just like all dravidian langs) but majority of eminent linguists have ruled out tht theory.they say finno ugrarian(like turkish)also share a lot with dravidian languages .this theory was also rejected.but a south indian can relatively easily learn these languages.according to my research even these languages dont have feminine and masculine genders for non living beings
