when it comes to such checks they bring in Islam in it and blame everything on our religion when it comes to them they come up with all kinds of stupid crying .

do Indians support such checks for all or they just support it for selective communities ?

Within specific Religions also exists many sects, especially Islam.

Why should all Muslims be held responsible for actions of Wahabi's.

After all, this group has killed more Muslim than any other religious group.

Of course, ideally no individual should be held responsible for actions of another.

However, the article specified members of a specific religion who shall be targeted for screening. In that case, natural comparison is with another religion, not sect within the religion.

But again, you are right. I am against targeted screening due to religion/sect/colour/sex etc. etc. I have been at the receiving end of the same in Europe a couple of times and can vouch for the fact that it is extremely humiliating.

I support all kind of checks which are concern for national security as long as they are not biased . Religion doesn't hold water in front of national security is concerned. it is better to be safe than sorry.

The entire point of my post was that actions of an individual should not be generalized towards his entire community/country, and here you go, generalizing Indians.

If this was the policy of government of India, then maybe your point would have been valid but here it just comes out as stupid.

On the serious note they can now see us all naked in the new body scan machines on airports..Turban scan is a very little thing compared to that...

Turban wearing sikh is not a danger for US security & never has been. It's just ridiculous. US must stick to its policy of additional screening of passangers from those 14 countries, which it deems as security risk. This idiotic policy of US to screen Sardarji's head will only end up in irking the community, which has nothing to do with all the wrong things happening to the west & the rest!!
