Sikh Warrior Hari Singh Nalwa Tops list of " Top Ten World Conquerors"

when arab came to Hindustan they had no one.. so please keep this 1% logic in you...
sikhs maybe are Brave but most of them worked or served under british as now they are under hindus.. they cant keep Punjab united and look what hindus did to east Punjab divided into many..
and got humiliated by india in 1984. 1% people ruled for 50 years due to vacum of leader in sub continent. the way british defeated them clearly shows their "power". they served as british cannon fodder during the british rule.

so yes sikh's can write whatever they wish but 50 years is not enough to be compared to even mongols empire.
Few years here and there is hardly called an empire forget about the top 10 whatever. Defeated Pashtuns? Only a few pashtun tribes took care of Sikhs and did not let them stay in comfort for their short stay in Peshawar. Again only a few pashtun tribes fought them and in recent history they have got nothing to show, operation Blue star exposed their false bravado even further and have failed to secure a small country in SA. Currently living under Hindus occupation in Hindustan.

lol@ the source.

Why do you have to kill the Vibe?:D Let the Pajees enjoy for abit. But we cant deny the fact that this geezer was later killed by pashtuns. :sniper:

Since when Arabs conquered india .... sindh is in Pakistan not india and Arabs under 3rd caliphate army were decisively defeated that they gave up the plan to conquer india after all their generals died in Battle of Rajasthan in 738 Ad.

And only a fool would judge their military achievement on the basis of blue star operation ....how about number of Victoria cross and battle of saragarhi against pashtuns.

Battle of Rajasthan - 738 AD - Defeat of Arabs

The Battle of Rajasthan is a battle (or series of battles) where the Gurjar Hindu alliance defeated the Arab invaders in 738 CE The final battle took place somewhere on the borders of modern Sindh-Rajasthan. Following their defeat the remnants of the Arab army fled to the other bank of the River Indus. The main Indian kings who contributed to the victory over the Arabs were the north Indian Gurjar Emperor Nagabhata I of the Pratihara Dynasty and the south Indian Gurjar Emperor Vikramaditya II of the Chalukya dynasty in the 8th century.

The most powerful kingdoms of North India in the 8th century were the Gurjara Pratihara dynasty and the Pala dynasty.
In the early 8th Century the Kingdom of Sindh under Brahmin King Dahir of the Rai dynasty was convulsed by internal strife——taking advantage of the conditions the Arabs assaulted it and occupied it under Muhammad ibn Qasim, the nephew of Al-Hajjaj (governor of Iraq and Khurasan). Qasim and his successors attempted to expand from Sindh into Punjab and other regions but were badly defeated by Lalitaditya of Kashmir and Yasovarman of Kannauj.

Junayd ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Murri, the successor of Muhammad ibn Qasim, in Sindh led a large army into the region in early 730 CE. Dividing this force into two he plundered several cities in southern Rajasthan, western Malwa, and Gujarat. The southern army moving south into Gujarat was defeated at Navsari by Avanijanashraya Pulakesi who was sent by the South Indian Gurjar Emperor Vikramaditya II of the Chalukya Empire. The army that went east, reached Avanti whose ruler Gurjara Pratihara Nagabhata I utterly defeated the invaders and they fled to save their life.

The Battle of Rajasthan

Gauging at the seriousness of the situation as well as the power of the arab forces, pratihara king, Nagabhata made pact with Jaysimha Varman of the Rashtrakuta Empire. Jaysimha in turn sent his son Avanijanashraya Pulakesi to support Nagabhata. The two Dynasties of India supplemented the already fighting Hindu Gurjar Mewar Kingdom, under Bappa Rawal, at the border of Rajasthan.

The battle was fought between 5,000-6,000 Gurjar Infantry and cavalry facing more than 30,000 Arabs. The Gurjar fought bravely and managed to kill the Arab leader Emir Junaid during the war. This enhanced the morale of the Gurjar hindu forces while the Arabs disorganized and demoralized due to their leaders death retreated and were frequently attacked by local forces until they reached the indus river taking great casualties.

Junayd's successor Tamim ibn Zaid al-Utbi organized a fresh campaigns against Rajasthan but failed to hold any territories there. He would be further pushed across River Indus by the combined forces of the King of Kannauj, Nagabhata thus limiting the Arabs to the territory of Sindh across River Indus.
The Arabs crossed over to the other side of the River Indus, abandoning all their lands to the victorious Indian kings. The local chieftains took advantage of these conditions to re-establish their independence. Subsequently the Arabs constructed the city of Mansurah on the other side of the wide and deep Indus, which was safe from attack. This became their new capital in Sindh.

pashtuns were later defeated by the combined forces of gurkhas and SIikhs during Tirah campaign .... same place where pakistan army is fighting against TTP.

how about number of Victoria cross and battle of saragarhi against pashtuns.

Well that just sums it up isn’t it. Sikhs were always a cannon fodder and got help/training in return. Yes because there were way too many Sikhs in the British Army. In those few years here and there (some parts of KPK) that Sikhs Called an empire only fought some Pashtun tribes. Bear in mind during the same time Pashtuns were fighting amongst themselves and it always has been like that and later important leaders killed and defeated by dost muhammad. Furthermore Sikhs were easily defeated by the british, also history is a witness to what the pashtuns done to the British Army and their puppets during their stay in the area.

British indian army was around 36 % muslim ..... were they cannon fodder

And do we treat the campaigns of Ghauri, Ghaznavi etc as the same kind of 'occupation' of Pakistani Punjabi and Sindhi territories and condemn them?
The thing is, Punjabi musalman, particularly those of East Punjab themselves were living under the terror of Sikhs in 18th century. Their sadness for the death of Guru Gobind Sikh' two sons at the hands of Mughals, turned into vengeance and blood-thirst for muslims, they forgot the teachings of their previous Gurus and Banda Singh Bahadur rallied Sikhs under his banner by speeches against muslims and islam................and bathed the entire Punjab from Sutlej to Sirhind, with blood of local muslims. Later the Sikh muslims would engage in killings and plunder, and their victims were the villages of muslims in Punjab. According to Punjabi muslim historian, S.M.Lateef, they would stuff pork into the mouths of muslim prisoners of war, Khalsa movement was basically anti-muslim movement.

The notion that Ranjeet Singh was a secular ruler , is wrong. He was mild compared to previous Sikh leaders, but he was not a secular Person. He reacted very violently to those who dared to slaughter cows, Azaan got banned and many mosques were razed to the ground. And the standing mosques were intentionally disrespected. Muslim Butchers of meat were hanged, mullahs were particularly despised and hunted down. The fact that Ranjeet Singh's army was largely Sikh and Punjabi Muslims were absent from it, means they are not part of military history of Punjabi muslims. Keeping in mind the ideology of Pakistan and history of Syed Ahmad Bareilwi, Hari Singh is not hero of Pakistan, and he shouldnt be the hero of Pakistani Punjab but thats up to them to decide.

Proud son of Gujranwala, there should be something named after him just like Raja Porus, why not to change the name of Gujranwala to Hari singh nalwa?!

The most impressives army generals in history are Gengis khan, Khalid bin Walid and Hanibal and only god can judge who is number one among them

Haripur district in KPK is named after him, enough IMO.

Beside the fact the Alexander did it all with far fewer resources at his disposal and no "hype" new religion at his back
Now, he deserves a spot on that list, more so than Mehmet, but let's stop exaggerating...

And Hari Sinhg Nalwa is definitely not on any top list, let's all stop trying to rewrite history for nationalistic/religious reasons:cheers:

Alexander Macedonia became king at the age of 20 , when he turned 23 years old, he first conquered Greece and then entered in Turkey, then defeated Dara in Iran , and then he conquered Jerusalem and Babylon, and then went to Egypt, after Egypt he came to India and defeated king Porus.
He laid down the foundation of Phalia City in the memory of his beloved horse and then he ride back through Makran (in Pakistan) during his way back he was caught in fever and died in the palace of Bakht Nasr at the age of 33.
The world was told that he was a great General and a King and therefore the world knows and called him as a Alexander the Great.

Now in the 21st century we can put a question in front of Historians of the twenty-first century, was Alexander was a really a great General in front of the Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA). Just think when Alexander become king at the at of 20, the best Archers taught him archery and he was taught horse riding by the best experts, and got the teachers like Aristotle (Arostu).

On the other hand Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA), none of his last 7 generations was any King. He was grown up by browing camals, he didn't learned horse riding or art of Archery and sword from any teacher.
Alexander conquered 18,00,000 square miles area with a strong and organized army during his 10 years kingdom. On the Other hand Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA) conquered 22,00,000 square miles area without any trained army during 10 Years (Including Rome and Iran superpowers of that time.)
The whole region was conquered by horse back riding under the management of Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA) and he implemented that management in the best way.
Alexander assassinated numerous famous Generals during the war who fought against him, even his army refused to obey his orders and to march forward in India.
On the other hand none of any soldier of Hazrat Omar refused any order or disobeyed to him. He was a kind of leader that during the battlefield he order his great general Hazrat Khalid bin Waleed to resign from his leadership in the battlefield and Hazrat Khalid bin Waleed obeyed his orders. He dismissed Hazrat Saad bin Abi Waqas from the governors of KOFFA Iraq.
He withdrawn the governing from Hazrat Harith ibn Ka'b, he ordered to confiscate the property of governor Umro bin AlAas. He called back the governor of Hirs and as a penalty ordered him to look after camels.

But none of his decisions were challenged by anybody because everybody knew that those decisions were based on true justice.

Alexander conquered 18,00,000 square miles area but couldn't gave any system to this world. But Hazrat Omar gave many systems to this world which are still exists in many forms.

It was Harzt Omar who:
1 - Adopted the sentence أصلوأة خير من النوم (Prayer is Better than Sleep) in Fajar Prayer.
2 - During his tenure the Tarawee Prayer was started regularly.
3 - He gave the punishment for drinking of alcohol.
4 - He started and lay down the foundation of Islamic Hijri Year.
5 - He gave and started the salaries to Mozans (Who Say Azan for Prayers).
6 - He order to maintain light in all Mosques during night times.
7 - He adopted a complete court system where even he himself was answerable.
8 - He introduced the idea of Jail Systems for criminals.
9 - He introduced the Canal System for agriculture and irrigation system.
10 -He first time made the Army FOB's (Forward operating bases) and laid the foundation of a military departments and a complete organization system.
11 - He first time in the world ordered to gave funds and benefits and appointed regular salaries for infants and widows.
12 - He first time in the world introduced the Post office system.
13 - He first time ordered to wear uniforms for Police.

On his table there was never served two dishes for him he eated only one dish. He was used to lay down and rest during the travel on the earth and make a pillow of his elbow or bricks. There were many patches on this dress, he was used to wear thick and rough clothes.
Whenever he appointed any governor he advised him that never ride or sit on a Turkish horse (was used for a status symbol for rich peoples), and don't wear thin clothes , don't eat screened flour , do not keep guard on the door so he can't stop anybody coming for complaints - He was used to say that a leader who do justice sleep fearless-
On his official seal it was written.... "Umar - remember death is sufficient for Advice"

His words even today are kept meaning as Charter for Human Right Organizations, that "Children are born free from their mothers when you made the slaves ?"
When he was died he was under the debt and that debt was paid after selling his house.

If the historians of today compare the personalities of Alexander and Hazra Omar (RA). Alexander is like a stone in front of a mountain.

The empire of Alexandra was eliminated after 5 years of his death, But Omar conquered which areas and put the flag of Islam in the world, even today there are Islamic Govts. and audible voice of Allah Akbar is daily coming from mosques five times a day.

During the partition of British Muslims in sub continent once peoples of Lahore threatened the British company and said "if we came out of houses, then you will remember what was a Genghis Khan"' .
And Juahr Lal Nehru said 'I am so sorry that Muslims forgot that they had a great leader like Umar Farooq ( RA) in their history.
