Racism: Sikh Signs For Package, UPS Driver Enters His Name As "TERRORIST"

A UPS driver entered a Sikh man's name as TERRORIST on its online package-tracking database. The man's family discovered the epithet when they searched for a package UPS failed to deliver.

UPS is looking into the incident, and the package entry has since been changed to the man's last name. We'll take this moment to remind any confused readers that:

* Sikhs, who customarily wear turbans to cover their uncut hair, are not the same as Muslims, and
* Not all Muslims (very few, in fact) are terrorists

We'll also point out that this whole situation could have been avoided if UPS had actually delivered the second package.

Mr UPS Man.....................Punjabion say panga, anjaam nanga...........:china:

Sardar ji should sue the hell out of UPS for allowing such idiots to work there.

This shows the extent of Islamaphobia spreading in the West.

Sad and true indeed.

On the lighter side ... hahaha !

He won't get very far. I was in a similar situation though I don't wear a turban, am clean shaven, and wear a suit everyday, preferably Hugo Boss or Zegna. The only thing that illicited such a response (and this was in a professional setting at work with educated people who were both my senior and junior) was my Muslim name. My complexion is fairly light, there are goray who are darker than me.

Anyways I took the entity to court and did not win very much, the whole system is against us from bottom to top. People are not scared or paranoid, they know what is really going on. They are just using this "phobia" trend to muscle us into a corner.

Anyways, after I succeeded in making their lives hell via the legal system, I noticed that if I was Jewish and cried anti-semitism, I would be a double figure millionaire. But since I was Muslim, a very very lenient conclusion was made. Next time I am going to resort to violence instead.

Back in the summer of 07. I got a pleasant surprise that one of my twin boys was on the US no fly list. They were 3 years old at the time.
I've been pulled of the airplane by FBI personnel before. The look on the fellow passengers is priceless.
These Americans in particular are so clueless that it is unreal. Early 90's after the first Gulf War.. I checked into a hotel in Kentucky. There was an older friendly lady at the reception desk. My last name is Hussain.... so she honestly asked how my uncle "Saddam" was doing!! :cheesy:

Thats another problem I find with Sikhs who get mistaken for Arabs and are mistreated. Sikhs should condemn the bigotry not go around correcting people that they are not Muslims. It should not matter to people whether they are Sikhs or Muslims, this was bigotry at their finest.

Unfortunately I've seen most Sikh groups focus upon educating the non-Muslim bigots with the difference between the two and not in condemnation of the foul act.

The ethnicity or religion of person doesn't matter and it would be unpardonable in either case.this act is highly condemnable and even stupidity cant be used as an excuse to forgive it.
noone has the right to humiliate someone because of ethnicity or religion
The company should offer an unconditional apology and pay compensation to sardarji
